This week Marion is joining us with the interesting theme of ASEMIC WRITING! I’ve looked on Google and the offical explaination for asemic writing is ‘Asemic writing is a wordless open semantic form of writing. The word asemic /eɪˈsiːmɪk/ means “having no specific semantic content”, or “without the smallest unit of meaning”. … It may be compared to illegible writing or writing for its own sake, instead of writing to produce verbal context.’
Here is Marion’s samples to give us some inspiration!

Remember to keep you postcard to 6×4 in size, but any and all mediums are welcome as usual! If you’re struggling with the theme, the artist Dina Wakley produces a lot of artwork based around Asemic Writing, and has even produced stamps with it on!
Have fun everyone and Happy Sunday,
Mandy xx
